The morning after, 41 sightings!

Wow, what a night it was last night up in the Snowies. The high alpine meadow where we camped was beautiful. People had fold-out lawn chairs so they could lie back and watch the sky. I had a regular lawn chair so it got a bit uncomfortable hanging out with my head tilted back but it was so worth it. We all also had our sleeping bags tucked around us to keep warm. We sat and watched as the sky slowly darkened and the Milky Way came to life. There is that one moment between dusk and dark when the stars just pop out. Out there in the mountains there is no light interference, and the clarity is out of this world.
I decided to keep count and my final tally of shooting stars was 41. Definitely a personal record. I got into my tent around 10:30 and since I had left my fly off I could lie snuggled in my bag and still watch for shooting stars. I woke up at 3 am and was able to see a few more to make up my final number. It was hard to shut my eyes.
My main blip was taken this morning at about 6:30. It was a perfect, calm, golden morning. The extra was taken last night just before the stars started to pop. With just my phone there was no way to take any action photos..
