Superb Rosie welcome, one of her finest. Lots of the train today, a small flurry when we realised we didn’t have reserved seats on the full to capacity train, but the travel gods were with us and the door to the one unreserved seating carriage stopped right in front of us on the platform and we didn’t have to stand up for four and a half hours…..

Home, unpack, laundry, bath, cook dinner, telly. That’s what I did, Will scooted straight off to catch up with his proper world. It has been a proper treat to spend 4 days with him. By his own admission he is very low maintenance and he is generally v quiet and contributes little. But we have had a nice laugh and enjoyed ourselves. He is happy with no commitments until next Thursday now - results day!!

I have a two day turnaround now- just written my to do list. Then camping!
