Tanks a lot..
...Bovingdon Tank Museum in Dorset was our destination today and it was a very interesting visit going back to Mk1 through to the German Leopard and the UK Challenger III.
For those unaware, the name "Tank" originated when they were building the MK1 and as it was Top Secret those building it asked what they were making and were told Water Carriers and what do you put water in?
The name Tank is still used today.
No rust was spotted today!
The Extra.
When we returned to Weymouth it was beach time for the youngest and I noticed there were donkey rides available and the donkey's looked pretty bored and I felt quite sad for them but when they were finishing for the day their saddles were removed and they had a roll in the sand before boarding the trailer for home. Nice!
A damp start to the day but bright and sunny in time for the beach.
