Pit Stop

Travelled from home, Gloucester, to Westhall Scout Camp site, Whitburn which is near Sunderland.
First stop was for the loo after 108 miles! Next stop was Leeds Skelton Lake Services after 180 miles as fuel light came in at 170 miles.
Here for a birthday party being held for my Uncle Bill (85 in December), Aunty Kathleen (80 in December), and friend, Betty (80 in September).
It was a good journey until I got to Sheffield, but the rain wasnt too bad. Then just after RAF Dishforth I turned off the A1(M) to go across country to the A19. The last 50 miles of the 270 mile journey was horrendous, with torrential rain, standing water, and spray that hung in the air like fog!
Jacket, trousers, gloves and cut are currently hanging in the Scout hall to, hopefully, dry out
