Clouds at sunset (digital ir)

The pup and I went hiking on the north end of the Sandias this afternoon. We were on the "Strip Mine Trail". Now the pup and I have done this trail 3 times and we have yet to find the strip mine. You would think a strip mine would be pretty obvious. We have walked far beyond the distance in the trail guide. We have tried a couple of different turns...

Oh well, it is a pretty trail, especially at sunset, but there is no shade so it will not be pleasant much longer this year.

Today, I am grateful for the day I was given, beautiful clouds, a sweet puppy, healing teeth and cool water back at the car.
