Common Blue

Not a quiet day at home today as the neighbours are having their very large hedges at the bottom of the garden 'trimmed'! They've been going since 9am and are still out there at 3!  I don't think the local birdies are going to be impressed with the work!

So I took the opportunity to escape to the quiet haven of the local nature reserve for a couple of hours this morning! Very hot and sunny there but very quiet human wise, so it was rather lovely! and lots of little butterflies still about, including common blue, brown argus, small heaths, gatekeepers and whites.  Had hoped to get a photo of the clouded yellow today - still proving illusive!  I will not be defeated!
