Relief And Disbelief

Yeovil players and fans celebrate a second victory at Huish Park in just over 72 hours with a mixture of disbelief and relief: the fans couldn’t believe that we had come back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 with two goals in the last 6 minutes when we hadn’t looked like scoring all evening up until then; it had been a rather pedestrian and predictable performance for most of the game with our opponents, Truro, exposing our lack of pace in the middle of the pitch. 

Somehow, we managed to find a bit of spark after we introduced 3 of our young and pacy subs who put the Truro defence under pressure and they finally cracked.

At least it was encouraging that we found a way to win when we hadn’t played particularly well.
