Outpatients
I drove a Ukrainian lady to an outpatients appointment at Ashford Hospital today. She has been staying with a family in Chobham with her daughter and granddaughter since Russia invaded her country. Her daughter, Anna, has good English and worked in a local pub restaurant before they went back to Kiev. They came back after a few months as Russian missile attacks on Kiev made it too dangerous for them to stay, leaving their menfolk behind. Anna is hoping to get restaurant work again in September: her son is 3 and a bit years old so I imagine she is hoping he can start at nursery school. Their host family are away so I was happy to help today. The main outpatients waiting area at Ashford Hospital is very roomy and naturally well lit through the atrium roof. This produces a nice shadow pattern which I thought deserved a blip. The woodland scene adorning one of the walls was very restful and the extra photo takes us right into that bucolic setting.
