Capital view

On the way out to lunch today I crossed Epsom Downs, still recovering from last week's Derby crowds. I stopped at a view point which overlooks distant London (about twenty miles away) and the view in the sunshine was very clear.

My lunch host will be moving at the end of July and so this was a farewell to her lovely home for those of us in this regular "ladies who lunch" group. We are very old friends who used to do the same voluntary work in various parts of Surrey. She is downsizing and we are all looking forward to seeing her new home.
