Experiment
I’ll let you know how this experimental meal turns out. More courgettes to use up so I grated them, put on some salt then after a while squeezed out the moisture. Added grated Parmesan and old Cambazola, breadcrumbs, some chopped herbs, pepper and a beaten egg. There was left over boiled cabbage in the fridge so that went in too. Mixed it all and formed balls. Now I’ll bake and see what happens. We have salad leaves, spring onions and radishes from Mr C’s garden too.
It’s been another cold, grey day of mizzle. I continued with the road trip research - I think I need 6 months to see and do all that looks interesting. Mr C has booked an actual campsite south of Bonn so we can get hooked up to electricity after the fridge had not been on while we are on the long North Sea ferry. Then it’s going to be the Romantic Road route in Germany starting at Wurzburg to Bodensee. From there into Liechtenstein then back to Bodensee for the start of the German Alpen Route, to Berchtesgaden, then Saltzburg and on to Slovenia, eastern Croatia to Serbia and into Romania by the Iron Gates. This might all take some time, depending on what walks we find and castles/palaces/art galleries and old towns we spend time at. I’m going to be reading Fortunes of War by Olivia Manning when (if!) we get there.
#2 daughter and family have arrived at their basic Center Parcs cabin and the boys have gone exploring on their bikes. Ella meanwhile is rapidly becoming a Big Girl - she met a friend to go to the High Street. When her mum phoned her to say to come home for lunch she said they’d already had some in a cafe.
