St Peter's
The early morning rain cleared to give a warm partly sunny day, so mid afternoon I went out for a local ride.
Not far away is the lovely Forest of Dean village of Clearwell, Gloucestershire and the imposing church spire of St Peter's Church (1866) which is built in a French Gothic style. It was open and a walk around inside it has lovely stone carvings and stain glass windows.
The rain has returned this evening which put paid to popping to the pub for a pint with the neighbour, instead we had a cuppa and will pop out tomorrow night instead. The Met Office has issued a storm Betty weather warning! I can't remember a summer as bad as this before.
