Green manure

I had big ambitions for the large beds at the back of my plot but, truth be told, they did terribly this summer. Red ants were a massive issue and nothing grew there apart from a row of half decent early potatoes.

So, after 5 largely unsuccessful sowings and transplants that failed to establish, I decided to call it a day with this bed and sow green manure instead. At least that won't be a fussy crop and, who knows, the red ants might not like it!
