Not the Valley of Rocks
Our tenth wedding anniversary today :) I had the day off again, and we were planning to go for a walk to the Valley of Rocks to celebrate (in lieu of returning to Ben Nevis, where we actually got married). However, as we got near Lynton, we encountered a Road Closed sign, so set off on a long diversion (on a narrow road with lots of oncoming traffic, and lots of jiggery pokery to pass each other) - which also had a Road Closed sign at the end of it. We ended up parking up in (very busy!) Lynmouth to eat our sandwiches, then drove back home, and back out again to have a walk up the Torrs instead. Not a bad alternative - and although the weather looks a bit grim, it was a good approximation of our actual wedding day (though a lot drier at this point!)
We'd half planned to go and get fish and chips from Combe Martin for dinner, but as Storm Betty was moving in, we decided to save that for tomorrow, and I cooked us a salmon stir fry instead (washed down with Lidl champagne). Watched a couple of episodes of Good Omens 2 on Amazon Prime in the evening - really good.
