Wound up in Wexford

What a difference a day makes.  This morning, we looked at the large amount of debris from the surrounding ash trees (twigs and leaves) on the lawn (see extra) and decided that Husky could have a day off.  It was still quite windy, and we didn't fancy trying to clear up.  Since then, the wind has dropped - hopefully the weather will remain settled and we can run round with a rake tomorrow.

This morning W spent time in the workshop, and I backed yet another quilt top, and set it up on a frame to practice a new (to me) method of quilting - tying it.

Then a late lunch before driving to Tramore, where we had booked tickets for an outdoor concert at The Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens.  I had visited these gardens with the girls in July, but W had opted to stay at home.  So we arrived early enough to have a walk round these lovely gardens.  Then we plonked our coats and bags on a decent seat, before popping in to the cafe for drinks and rather tasty brownies!

The concert started at 6, and by this time, the day had settled to a pleasant evening.  Many people were in shirt sleeves - we were not quite so hardy, and wore jumpers.

A joyful concert - a mix of music from many countries, including, but not restricted to, Ireland and Japan.  I looked for them on YouTube to give you a link, but the group (newly formed just last year) have no Internet presence that I can find!
