Barbie

Who would have thought a movie about a doll could be a hit?
 
I  said I would never go to see Barbie, then I kept hearing reports of it becoming a cult film with a strong feminist agenda and changed my mind.
 
But would M agree to come too?  Finally he was reassured after several male friends, dragged along by their wives, admitted they found it entertaining.
 
Verdict? If you want a fast paced light hearted “feel good” film this is it. Despite its title its not a film for small children though there were number in the audience.
 
Afterwards we popped along to Gaby’s (BYO) diner, first time since Covid, for a Thai curry with jasmine rice. It must rank as one of the quirkiest restaurants in Scotland- a converted bus shelter.
