The Oxford Bar
Well my railway medical went the way I expected as it's still to early into my trying out my CPAP machine to let me back driving so it's looking like the first week in July at the earliest, anyway I decided to walk to Haymarket Station but on my way I walked through Young Street which has both the Oxford and Cambridge Bars just a hundred yards apart this shot is of the famous Oxford Bar that the writer Ian Rankin frequents but alas he was not in or I could have thanked him for picking my two shots for the see us competition anyway I tried a pint of Trade Winds beer then went to the Cambridge bar and had a pint of Alchemy IPA then a final Black Isle Organic Pale Ale with a Hawian Burger and fries I really wanted a Large Thick Smoked Sausage supper but I couldn't wait for my Thick Sausage so went for the burger as I was starving but I will enjoy my thick sausage another day but it was a lovely day as I caught up with all my blip comments and then listened to some music on you tube including Ride On by Christy Moore, Aerosmith I don't want to miss a thing, Meatloaf with I will do anything for love,Frankie Miller singing Caledonia and Davy Spillane with the haunting lament titled Caoinedh Cu Chulainn on the Irish Uilleann Pipes a real emotional tune which always has tears in my eyes listening to it, to name but a few anyway movie for the day is " Oxford Blues 1994" but as both bars are in Young street I am always a fan of Cambridge in the annual Boat Race sorry to all Oxford fans by the way anyway that's my blip for the day See Ya
