Our garden pond is his pond and my common darter was zooming round at a pace getting quite agitated at the pair laying laying their eggs on his bit of water.

Hubs repaired my camp tent poles as the wind the other night became too much for it whilst I sewed three hoops that had been ripped off the corners and relearnt how to do a hitch knot for the guy ropes which also needed mending.
The resident kestrel is very enamoured with the local farmers at the moment as they have been harvesting, revealing all manner of tasty snacks so not very much in evidence here. The young magpie which seems to be around a good deal is looking at the grasshopper explosion as a gastronomic binge.
