Sunlit hazelnut

I was fortunate to catch this hazelnut in a blink of sunshine. There are quite a few hanging from the trees and a lot on the ground after the wind of the last couple of days.
I called into the community tree nursery open day where they are doing a grand job of growing from seed trees native to the island. It was good to see the event well supported and I regretted having lunch beforehand when I saw all the lovely home baking.
