The Lone Sycamore.

This tree stands in waste ground beside the Express bus route north of Broomhouse in Edinburgh. There is nothing for 100 yards around it but scrub grass and the usual rubbish.

The much vaunted Edinburgh Tram System will go through here quite soon and this tree will be history.

It's a noble tree that has stood alone for years in a bleak part of town.
