Ram of God

This the statue of a ram that stands in the square of Moffat in the Borders, where we stopped briefly on our way back to Edinburgh from Northumberland.

It's a bustling town all right - coachloads of oldies packing out the ubiquitous Woollen Mill and a rally of vintage cars.

We drove past the Grey Mare's tail which is a waterfall high up on the mountainside towards Selkirk, a sad town which hasn't merited the word "bustling" since women wore bustles.
