Sunny Tuesday

For some reason we must be a bit tired at the moment because we’re sleeping in until around 8am, sometimes later.  It was very cold this morning, which might help explain sleeping later, but there was lots of sunshine.  We had a lunch engagement with our lovely Blipper friend, Mima so rugged up warmly before walking to the restaurant.  MrMacD and Mima had fish, chips and salad, I had fish, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables.  We even had pudding, and we certainly needed a long walk after that.

We wanted to look at some tiles and vinyl flooring so popped into one store not far from the restaurant, but it doesn’t do tiles and the vinyl range wasn’t terribly inspiring.  Then we had a very long walk to the second store, but we got there eventually.  However, not before we’d visited an antiques shop and found a wardrobe and chest of drawers that would be perfect for the second bedroom.  We’re going to think about it overnight.  The flooring shop was right next door.  We had a good talk to the sales person, saw some very appealing tile designs online and were shown a new range of vinyl flooring, which was rather interesting.  We walked back to town, popped into Mitre10 to look at draught excluders, then on to Blackhawk Saddlery & Upholstery.  We’d been told that they’re very good at making squabs for window seats and we need two of them.  We’ll get an initial quote tomorrow.  After all that walking we managed 12.3 kms 

It’s been a gorgeous sunny day and we were quite warm by the time we’d finished our walk.  I managed to take a couple of photos of electricity boxes as we walked.
