Southern Maid at New Romney

Being prepared for taking over from Black Prince on the train from Dungeness to Hythe.

New Romney station is a regular stop on our Marshes cycle ride. Our first major ride of the year from West Hythe to Dymchurch, inland to the Royal Military Canal then south to New Romney and back along the coast to West Hythe and a well earned pint of very refreshing Docker session ale at the Unit 1 craft brewery alongside the Canal.

Beautiful day, sun with a strong south westerly breeze which made cycling a challenge at times. However, the last 7 miles northwards along the seawall was an absolute delight with the wind behind us
