Swimming Dog

The weather was great again, so we "finally" decided to take Caspar for a swim. In 45km (28m) distance, in Bavaria, we should find a dog beach. A place where dogs and owners were allowed to swim together.
A couple of big quarry ponds were left for the public to use for swimming, sailing, etc.. And one part of one pond was open for dogs!!!
Caspar needed a lot of persuasion to swim. Once he saw me swimming away he went into the water and swum towards me. But when he realised I was not in danger he turned around. Afterwards we only got him into the deep through pulling and pushing. He wanted to obey, but man, that scary water!
Well, perhaps next time he will be braver. After all, he is still a puppy with little deep and wide water experience.
And a next time will be, now we know where to go.
