Morecambe Bay

This is Morecambe Bay.

Over there, on the far side, is the southern coast of Cumbria. Just looking at it makes me want to walk across but it's not as easy as it looks; the sands are rather treacherous and there are deep, fast flowing channels. Thus people are advised to only walk across with a guide.

We - Dan, Abi and I - were on our way to go bowling at Morecambe Superbowl. I stopped to take this photo and Abi decided she would take one, too.

The tide comes in very quickly here and when we were driving back home, less than two hours later, the tide was high, which made the far coast look further away.
