“Men are funny….”

 
I was amazed to find on Twitter this morning a tweet by Scottish art journalist Jan Patience to an article I wrote in the Glasgow Herald forty years ago.
 
It certainly brought back fond memories of Agnes Owen who discovered late in life her talent for storytelling about working class Scotland. I remember her saying that it’s the only life she knows and she found men much funnier than women.
