Sunny day

We had a day doing our own thing today.

Both kids and family went off out and hubby and I took a trip around the local shops and arts & craft centre, lots of talented people, producing some lovely items making a living - you can’t beat home made/local. Purchased some beautiful candles.

Decided to have some lunch out, dropped into a local eatery and had a lovely cold drink (cucumber and mint iced tea) and snack lunch (roasted vegetables and hummus grilled sandwich) -see extra.

Back home to drop off the purchase, our daughter and family arrived also after a morning of fishing and crabbing (unsuccessfully). Boys happy playing in the garden while we rested in the sun.

Decided to do some touristy things down in Lynmouth, so got the funicular railway down (videoing the journey down). Mooched around the shops and then met up with our son. Took a walk down to the edge of the beach and sat people watching. Our daughter and family then joined us and we had a fish and chip super.

Back home, kids to bed, hubby went to bed as he had a migraine looming (sun related), SIL went for a walk and our daughter, son and DIL played “Who wants to be a millionaire” - I won! (We decided that as time was going on we would call it a day, and I had the highest - £32k).

A lovely day, one day left before the return home trip.
