Fiordland Crested Penguin

We feel very special to have this cutie in care. He has had a skirmish with a shark, but has survived. You can just see where the feathers are gone on his front where the injury is healing. One very lucky fellow. He has injured both feet also. He was found on one of our local beaches. They are nationally vulnerable with numbers just holding. He is a large penguin-6 kgs, standing just under a metre.
