A tough night between the sticks

Obviously it was yesterday's extra training that was to blame... Ottawacker Jr. had a bit of a nightmare in goal in the game against OSU, conceding 4 and possibly being at fault for three of them. A 4-0 loss is never easy, but when you are usually the best player and feel like you have let people down, it's a hard pill to swallow. Fortunately, he had a very good second half, so that restored the morale a little bit.

Anyway, he was far from the only under-par performer - in the first half, OISC couldn't get out of their own half. Even the world's most positive mother, sitting just to my right, had to stop her endless monologue of fatuous, banal praise for a few seconds. So that tells you all you need to know.

"There's always next week," said Ottawacker Jr. bravely.
