Devil's-bit scabious

When I was walking in Kings Park yesterday I saw swathes of devil's-bit scabious. I made up my mind to go back today to try for an entry to the last wildflower week challenge. Huge thanks to Miranda, and ApolloFly, for this lovely idea and for hosting this year. 

As always with a big crowd of flowers I found it hard to show the full carpet so here is one pincushion with a honey bee investigating it. 

Now waiting for an optician appointment as I blip so I'll keep it short.
