Moomin admires floral display

Our visitors checked out at 10:00, then we washed all the bed linen and towels, dried them on the line, and returned everything to the wee guest suite at the back of our flat - another successful summer 2023 'changeover day' chez hazelh. 

Amongst other domestic duties, Mr hazelh and I also made a trip to the supermarkets. We stocked up on groceries for our own forthcoming holiday on the west coast.

After they left us, the Foxes checked into Jack's house for the second stage of their 'two centre' Edinburgh holiday. We joined them at Jack's this evening for dinner. For the main course our host prepared his signature dish of pollo alla cacciatora. It was delicious, as was the top of the range smoked salmon in our salad starter.

The pretty bouquet in my blip arrived by post this morning. It is a present from Ailish and Danny to thank us for last weekend. (The awful shows mentioned in the card were nothing to do with us. Ailish and Danny selected and attended them on their own last Friday.)

Exercise today: walking (13,451 steps).
