Pampas Grass

The plumes in my neighbour's garden catching the early sunshine this morning, for my Flower Friday entry. Thanks to BikerBear for continuing to host flower Friday.

I have a love-hate relationship with these; they do look pretty but, when the stems are shorter, the plumes seem to peep over the top of the wall and I imagine it's a face looking over. When the heads are fully-grown, during the day they cast moving shadows which I see out of the corner of my eye so find them distracting. But my neighbours are lovely so there's no need for complaint.
