Moscow seized the local assets of Carlsberg beer. So Heineken sold its local business, which is seven breweries and 1,800 employees, for a symbolic $1. This $1 deal took 18 months to complete. They filed paperwork after the March 2022 invasion. It took a 300 euro million hit.


In 1963 the Israeli Mossad began a plan to steal a plane.  The MIG-21 fighter jet was the most advanced Soviet-built military aircraft of the 1960s and was commonly used by Arab air forces. After two failed attempts Israel got an Iraqi Christian fighter pilot to defect with the plane. 


Supposedly a similar stunt was just performed by Ukraine. It took six months. They got the pilot’s family out ahead of time. They got a Russian pilot commanding an assault transport Mi-8 helicopter to land in Ukraine. Now, is it true? Sometimes these things are great stories that demoralize the enemy and if it is true then it wouldn’t make sense that the pilot would try to run away once he landed. Whatever the truth, Ukraine has a new helicopter.
