Mural, Lyon

During our time exploring Lyon today we came across this painted mural. It looked very realistic and initially I didn’t réalise them at the shop underneath wasn’t real.

We had a great day wandering around the city. First we went up to the Basilica using public transport which was very ornate inside and had great city views outside. We then wandered around the old town before going to the Confluence museum which is a very unusual building where the Rhone and Saône rivers meet. Entry was free today, offered by the city as it has air conditioning. I went to the Marc Riboud photography exhibition which I really enjoyed especially his photos of China in the 50s.there was also an interesting exhibition on rivers and their catchment areas.

After a shower back at the hotel we returned to the old town and had dinner sat outside a bistrot. Finally we took the funicular back up to the Bascilica to see the city at night. Great day. See extra.
