Sunflowers
B found out about a local farmer in Field Dalling who has opened his sunflower field to the public this weekend. Some of the larger flowers were beginning the transition to making seed but there were still plenty of the smaller flowers in full bloom. I noticed that some of the flowers had this rather attractive climbing plant growing over them but I haven't been able to identify what it is. I was rather spoilt for choice as to which photos to blip but as you know I'm rather fond of ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) photos so I've added a couple of those as extras as well as some pretty blue flowers which I think are Pale Flax.
The field was well organised with family members assisting. There were refreshments for sale and some seating and a mown perimeter so that all sides of the field could be accessed. We were also able to wander among the sunflowers too. It was all very relaxing and a splendid way to spend a couple of hours (not to mention brilliant value at £2 each which went toward the cost of running the event).
Even the sun shone but sadly we now have rain, actually the first for several days.
