Birthday Girl

I travelled west this morning to that ‘Dear Green Place’ to meet up with daughter #4 who celebrates her birthday tomorrow. We met where so many Edinburgh matrons meet when in Glasgow, Princes Square on Buchanan Street. Also present were daughter#1 and grandson Ewan and a jolly time was had by all over coffee and pastries.
Then it was on to the Underground for a quick hurl to HillHead where lunch was had in the iconic Ashton Lane . So did the day go until it was time to hurl back to Buchanan Street and a trip back to Edinburgh, where it took longer to get from the perimeter of Edinburgh to the bus station than the journey between the two cities, and don’t ask me to say how long it was to get home through the Festival crowds.

This was the first time I’ve been in Glasgow since Covid and it was looking good in the sunshine making it a lovely day out with the family.
