Bikes at Bruar
We are on holiday - hurrah!
As planned, we popped round to the supermarkets this morning to gather our last minute provisions, then left Edinburgh for the drive north just before 11:00. We called in at the House of Bruar en route for tea/coffee and cake. Here I blipped our bikes on the roof rack of our car.
We had expected to reach our destination by about 4pm, but there was a terrible hold up on the A9 near Blair Atholl due to a broken down coach blocking a stretch of the single carriageway. Our delay was about 45 minutes. It would have been much longer for those heading south: the queue was about 4.5 miles long when we passed it.
It's grey and blustery outside our wee cottage in Wester Ross, but we are cosy and well fed having enjoyed the avocado and feta salad that featured in my list yesterday. We have just played our first game of the holiday: a win at Azul for me.
Exercise today: small amount of walking (8376 steps).
