The last visit?

This is one of a group of poppies in D's garden and today may be the last time we visit that house. She has put it on the market and plans to move to the south coast of England to be nearer her daughters. It may take ages to sell, but she is hoping that it will sell quickly.

A touch of nostalgia was felt by all of us, as it is like a second home. My first visit was the day after she moved in 12 years ago. It had been a student let, had been trashed and needed a lot of work. I spent most of that first visit peeling old paper off the walls!! (a job I love, very therapeutic)

It is now a great house and garden, fingers crossed that the next one doesn't require such hard work.

We focussed on the positives, one of them is our trip to Berlin at the end of the month and another is the chance to meet up in London at regular intervals to do things!!

We are now safely home.
