Anthomyiide

This is an Anthomyiide, from the family, Anthomyiidae a large and diverse family of Muscoidea flies. Most look rather like small houseflies, but are commonly drab grey. The genus Anthomyia, in contrast, are generally conspicuously-patterned in black-and-white or black-and-silvery-grey. Wikipedia
As Wikipedia says, it looks like a common house fly, but they do have a certain beauty that we often don't see as we are swatting them away from our food.
