Two Kingfishers

Had a lovely, if very hot, couple of hours watching kingfishers this morning.

On the left is the juvenile, with the male on the right - the female flitted back and forth, but it was the male who was feeding the chick, which appeared to have a boundless appetite.

Although I managed to pitch my hide pretty close to what I thought was an ideal fishing perch (and it turned out that it was) I was still unable to get a decent shot of the actual catch - when the kingfisher dived for fish - I must do better ...
