On sunny Saturdays in New York, one goes for brunch. Here we are.

And the rest of the day is spent in the park, with a semi-successful venture to the Guggenheim: a new installation being put in, so the main stairway blocked off. But a Degas and Picasso or two that are definitely not to sniff at - The Lobster and the cat? Kandinsky definitely my fave: two days of instinctive migration to fanciful colours and mess. Poor Ulrich.

Walking round the reservoir in the evening light. Stunning, but the knee is tired.

It's a very gentle upper west side New York experience.

Ul is finally back in Berlin after tour of southern Germany as a one man roving counselling and IT band. It's been 3 days driving in the rain and generally does not sound much fun. But good that he's there, has the time to see people, and if nothing else, can fix up the printers.
