Special birthday celebrations

We set our alarm today, so that we didn't oversleep. Keen to pack up early, we were on the road at just after 9.

Stopped for coffee at the Rugby services, then arrived at Jenny's in Cottenham at 1. It is a big birthday for Jon's older sister Jenny on 31st, but today she had the whole family on both sides, join her to celebrate today. It was nice to see members of Jim's family, his brother and sisters, and both parents. The first time for many of the family at Jenny's new house. We haven't been since shortly after she moved in a year ago, and the garden is looking blooming in just that short time. Being a new build it was all a blank canvas and both the house and garden look lovely.

Dan had driven Henry and Mollie down, and they got there a bit earlier than us. We left at 5 to drive home, coming through torrential rain on the way. Glad now to be home. Emptying the caravan can wait until tomorrow.
