Light and shade

There was a surprise (shock) -4C frost overnight. It wasn’t forecast, so I’m very glad I sniffed the air at bedtime and decided to cover up the lemon and tea bushes just in case. The crisp start was followed by wall to wall sunshine all day.

While I spent the morning making Romano cheese, Bean shuffled between the sunny deck and the only slightly sunny truck, where she made the most of the sliver of sunlight available.

After lunch I took Bean for a long walk, then shifted nine barrowloads of compost into the tunnel. I’ll complete that job tomorrow.
