The Palladian Bridge over the little River Nadder at Wilton House was partly based on a rejected design by Palladio for the Rialto Bridge in Venice.  It dates from 1737 and has been copied at four other places in England including Stowe in Buckinghamshire.  Unfortunately we were unable to cross it but did enjoy looking round Wilton House and seeing the famous art and classical sculpture collection.
