Triathlon

My eight year old grandniece was taking part in a triathlon at Bodmin leisure centre.
I went along with my sister to watch.
This is her second triathlon, she started with a duathlon (run/bike/run) when her mother entered her first triathlon. She decided she wanted to do a triathlon, to which her mother explained that she had to learn to swim properly, she had 3 lessons and managed to swim 50 metres 3 weeks later, we are now 6 weeks further on and she managed 25 metres of amazing front crawl and 25 metres of crawl/breaststroke. She made up a bit on the bike (but she has a heavy off road bike) then off she went on the run.
Could be an expensive hobby, but at least we will always have something to buy for birthdays and Christmas
