Street Life
Kendal on August Bank Holiday Monday. As busy as you’d expect a provincial market town on the edge of the Lake District to be on a grey, chilly day. There were a few tourists around - mainly identifiable by their grim determination to wear full hiking gear to navigate the north face of Market Place - but I suspect the majority were probably either out on the fells or sampling the “delights” of Bowness or Ambleside.
Our Sunday morning coffee was somewhat late this week - as in 3.30pm on Monday afternoon late. In my defence, I didn’t get home from last night’s gig until about 1.45am and then stayed up until 3.30am watching the Dutch Grand Prix highlights. After catching up on missed sleep, mid afternoon felt very much like mid morning!
We did manage a trip to the gym at lunchtime though, so not a totally indolent day. Not going to be a late night tonight though - I need to take Mrs C’s car for a safety recall check first thing tomorrow morning.
