Decisions made
We were expecting a chap to come to give us a quote for the two windows with wooden frames that we want to keep, so weren’t able to get stuck into anything major until he’d been. His firm would approach it in the same way as Oamaru Glass, so we should get two comparable quotes.
After he left we set off on a walk, firstly to Blackhawk Saddlery through Oamaru Public Gardens to have a quick discussion about the squabs we need and then to confirm the order. From there we walked to Mulligan’s Café where we had lunch. We’d hoped to avoid Mitre10 but we needed hooks for the utensil rail MrMacD put up yesterday, so we looked there and, although they had lots and lots of hooks, they didn’t have the sort we needed. We then walked further along to the company that we’re going to get to do the majority of the double glazing and also the new garage door. We had a chat and confirmed that we wish to go ahead then continued on our merry way.
Once back home, MrMacD printed out two birthday cards that we wanted to get posted today and we took them down to the postal centre, this time in the car. We then went to the $2 shop and found some hooks that will do the job, so we bought two packets.
As we walked through the gardens we saw a carpet of red petals that had fallen from a lovely rhododendron, so that’s my blip for today.
