Endings

There was a definite end-of-summer feel about today - not much sun or warmth though it hasn't rained either.  I feel very sorry for all the people stuck in airports round the world, but if they were planning to be here they haven't missed much.

So above is some Great Bindweed (Calystegia sylvatica) climbing to enormous heights down by the water.  And it being a wildflower gives me a chance to tell you that the results of the final WFW challenge will be in my journal on Thursday.  I had thought of doing them tomorrow but am going on a butterfly walk - always a long day, if quite possibly one with few butterflies in it.  (They're still around - as yesterday - but fading fast.)
