A very quiet Bank Holiday Monday. When I got up, I wasn't feeling 9 carat as my mother used to say. I have no idea where the expression comes from but it was the family's version of feeling off colour. Anyway, I took it easy and wasn't in bad shape by the time we had a couple of friends round in the evening for a no-frills dinner. Cook provided the lasagne and Sainsbury's the apple strudel and ice-cream. A good time was had by all.
