Booking a holiday
We decided to walk up into Bonnyrigg this morning and visit the local travel agents as we’d heard good reports from the neighbours of the service received and prices paid. Even better was the fact that they’re dog friendly so we could walk Phin at the same time!
The lovely lady we saw is doing some research for us on Japan holidays and has already sent me through some options as well as sending us home with 4 brochures. I do love a printed brochure.
Whilst we were there we asked about a transatlantic cruise we fancied on Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to New York for November 2024. It’s a literary cruise in conjunction with the Cheltenham literary festival with guest speakers and the line up so far looks interesting with a mix of novelists, crime writers, historians and journalists. Suffice to say it’s now booked as we were able to reserve the cabin we wanted and also flights as the travel agents will track the actual flights for us when they’re released.
We walked back down the railway path to Starbucks for Mr PHL to get his latte fix and treated ourselves to cheese toasted for lunch. Phin enjoyed his puppichino.
Home to catch up on some singing for Rock choir as I’ve signed up for an impromptu performance on Thursday. I’m not sure if I can reveal what we’re doing but it involves an up and coming singer and some filming. I hope to find out more at the zoom rehearsal tomorrow and will reveal all later in the week.
We took a short walk round Springfield Mill before dinner where I blagged my blip, fresh brambles for Phin. Thanks to MaryElizaR for hosting.
