Creeping cloud…
After a hectic few days, relaxation was our aim today.
We have been following the weather forecasts and planning activities around those. Today it was to rain heavily in the morning (which it did!) but start to clear around 9.00am, so we headed to Tarbert for some retail therapy (P was looking for some Harris Tweed gifts to take home and I wanted to stock up on Essence of Harris candles and room diffusers ) just after 10am and the sun was shining.
Patricia got her gifts, D bought some essentials at the grocery store, then we headed back to the holiday house for lunch.
This afternoon, apart from a couple of squally showers, the rain stayed away and the sun shone, which meant D managed to get a round of golf at Harris Golf Course. Very enjoyable he said although he almost got blown off his feet at one point!
Meanwhile Patricia and I spent a leisurely afternoon painting. Great fun.
When D returned from golf we had dinner and spent a little time planning tomorrow's route.
We will be exploring south Lewis - Great Bernera, Uig Bay, Ardroil, Cliff beach, Reef Beach, Crowlista, Mangersta and down to Riddell Beach, if we have time. We will then head back to Uig Bay, to have dinner in Uig Sands Restaurant. I am really looking forward to that.
Today's blip was taken from the front of our holiday house as a little cloud perched on the hill opposite. It looked as though the hill was wearing a toupée! By the time I got this shot the cloud had mostly slipped down behind the hill.
Having to use phone shots for blips as won't get time to sort out my laptop problems till I get home. Very annoying.
